AN OVERVIEW
In a bid to utilize the fly ash for a productive purpose, NTPC is raising a central ash dyke for the first time in India at Rihandnagar, Sondhadra. The idea is to reclaim the wasteland by dumping soil and sand, and making the area reusable for re-dumping. We undertook the challenge and started the work.
The job was on a fast track to completion: in fact, ahead of the schedule. However, there were changes in plant design.
Now, rework is in progress and expected to be completed in time.
